After discovering a shortage of waffle pods and the need to find a more sustainable solution for concrete slab foundations Enviro Slab was born. Our mission is to support Australian made building and construction materials made from 100% recycled products. We are a Tasmanian owned and operated business and the only authorised Tasmanian distributor of the Cupolex concrete slab foundation system. Â
Suitable for Compact Sites
Block sizes are becoming smaller so it can be difficult to work within small site constraints. The Cupolex system transports and stores easily on pallets and are delivered directly to your job site.Â
Fast & efficient install
Cupolex in incredibly fast to install with 2 people being able to install approximately 200m2 per hour. The fast interlocking system is an effective method of installation eliminating the need spend more time cutting the product to size and blowing out your build schedule.Â
Made from 100% Recycled Materials
According to the National Waste Report 2020, Australia generated 27 million tonnes of waste from the construction and demolition (C&D) sector in 2018-19. An increase of 61% since 2006-07. Cupolex is made from 100% recycled materials making it a more environmentally friendly and a fantastic alterative to the polystyrene waffle pod.
Complies with Australian Standards
Cupolex is compliant under the relevant Australian standards and is already accepted by many engineers around Australia and the globe. In fact, Cupolex was designed by an Italian engineer back in the early 1990’s.Â
Weather Resistant
Cupolex can be installed in any weather conditions and won’t blow away in windy conditions. Â

Enviro Slab supports Australian made and the Cupolex system is 100% made in Australia supporting more jobs and manufacturing right here in Australia
cupolex components
There are 3 main components to the Cupolex system.
The Cupolex dome – This structure has been created to be interlocking and forms the void underneath the slab which is perfect for running plumbing and electrical underneath. In Australia the domes come in 3 different sizes the H200, H260 and H350.
Beton Stop – The beton stop has adjustable ribs to accommodate for the dimensional variations in the slab meaning that it does not need cutting. It also encloses the side openings of the dome.
Flat Stop – This is designed with no adjustment to close off the side opening of the Cupolex domes.Â
